John is a Partner at law firm Mills Oakley and acts for numerous charities and not-for-profits. John specialises in bequest issues and litigation, including family provision, testamentary capacity and cy-pres schemes.
He also advises in relation to codes of practice and governance issues and procedures for charities and not-for-profits. John has considerable experience advising and handling litigation in relation to contested wills and estates. He undertakes a range of family law work and has very broad experience advising on property settlement and children’s issues, de facto relationships, binding financial agreements and divorces.
John has acted as legal counsel to the interim board since early 2015, and in this capacity has offered excellent legal advice pertaining to contested estates and other legal matters during the period of organisational transition.
