Dorothy Creek

Dorothy is a primary producer and has lived in rural NSW all her life. She is keenly aware of the daily pressures that impact rural families. A foundation member of the Riverina Presbytery, Dorothy is a member of the UCA Assembly, as well as the NSW/ACT Synod. She is the Chair of the Pastoral Relations Committee and a foundation member of the Rural Ministry Unit, Chairperson of Riverina Presbytery Education Committee, Support Person (trained) in Synod Sexual Misconduct Complaints; Congregational Healing Facilitator; Scripture Teacher; NCYC Adult Volunteer/ Community Leader.

Embedded in the community, Dorothy serves as Secretary of local Landcare Network; Treasurer of local tennis club; Junior Netball Team Manager Secretary of local School Council; President of St Pauls College Parents & Friends Association Vice President Country of NSW Parents Council. She was awarded Life Membership of NSW Parents Council in 2013 for services to rural families. Australian Parents Council member - representing APC at Senate Inquiry into Youth Allowance for rural tertiary students; NSW Isolated Children’s Parents Association member & Annual Conference representative from NSW Parents Council.

After 2010 and 2012 Lockhart Floods, Dorothy provided pastoral visitation and support to affected families and distributed funds from Moderators Disaster Relief Fund.
