Rev Will Pearson
Will is a recently retired minister of the UCA, with a rural background. He grew up on a wool growing property where he lived and worked until approached by Elders Ltd to take on a role as Wool and Portfolio Manager in northern NSW, a position Will held for twenty years. During that time he had extensive relationships with rural families suffering the traumas of drought and poor commodity prices.
During his full-time ministry, Will did a two year IIM at Armidale, before taking on a five and a half year placement, half-time with Broken Hill Congregation and half-time Presbytery Minister with Macquarie Darling Presbytery. For much of this time there was no Patrol operating in Broken Hill, so Will covered many emergency situations in surrounding remote and isolated areas. Since retiring he has spent three months in supply ministry at Canberra City UCA.
Will has experienced first-hand many of the difficulties facing rural and remote families, and believes the presence of Patrol Ministers is critical to offering them the love and compassion of Christ.
