“They’re the future of woodcutting and of regional communities” said National Director, Rosemary Young as she presented the winners with their sashes.

“Frontier Services has been involved in sponsorship of woodcutting events at the Royal Adelaide Show for a decade and those who were just getting started then are leaders in their sport and in their communities now.”

This year, as Frontier Services celebrates the centenary of the establishment of the Australian Inland Mission, a photographic project inviting visitors at the Show to express their support for the people of remote Australia has already proved popular. The Frontier Services facebook page displays those individual expressions of support which will, by week’s end, contribute to a huge statement about the message people want to send to rural and remote Australia.

A feature of the woodcutting at the Royal Adelaide Show this year is the John Flynn Memorial International Women’s Test Series, sponsored by Frontier Services. Women’s teams from the USA, New Zealand and Australia are showing the men a thing or two. The first test, won by the NZ team, was held on Saturday. The second is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, with the final test on Monday. Excitement is building.

The Frontier Services team is delighted to be welcomed back to the showgrounds and to be able to have a significant presence in the Centenary year.
