Volunteer in Tibooburra | 10–20 May 2026
Frontier Services is inviting additional volunteers to join our upcoming Outback Links group trip to Tibooburra this May.
This is a meaningful opportunity to support a remote community, lend a hand where it’s needed most and experience life in Australia’s extraordinary Corner Country.
We’re looking to welcome a few more volunteers to help ensure this important trip can go ahead as planned.
About the trip
Tibooburra is a small, close‑knit Outback community in far north‑western New South Wales, known as the Capital of the Corner Country.
Volunteers will work alongside Frontier Services staff and local community members to support refurbishment and maintenance work at the Church at the Corner, an important shared space used for worship, gatherings and visiting services.
The work is practical, achievable and deeply appreciated in a remote setting where extra support is not always available.
Trip details
- Location: Tibooburra, far north-western New South Wales.
- Dates: Travel will take place on Sunday 10 May and Wednesday 20 May. Volunteering runs from Monday 11 May to Tuesday 19 May. A short break in the volunteering schedule includes a visit to Cameron Corner as part of the experience.
- Accommodation: You will stay in local accommodation in Tibooburra, including Granites Caravan Park, with powered and unpowered sites available. Off street parking is provided and accommodation is courtesy of Frontier Services.
- Meals: Breakfast is self catered. Lunch and dinner are provided each day as a thank you for your support.
- What to bring: Most equipment is supplied on site. Volunteers should bring personal items such as comfortable workwear, sturdy footwear, sun protection, toiletries, medications and any personal essentials.
