The town and its surrounding areas were severely affected by the devastating Black Summer Bush Fires, and they are still in the process of recovering. Preparations are now underway with our Outback Links team to continue supporting the community in Buchan, one of the worst hit towns.
Disaster Recovery Bush Chaplain Peter Harvey will lead a group of Outback Links volunteers to help properties and local businesses rebuild. Already, we have received an outstanding response and we’re looking to take things even further.
We are accepting new volunteers for this exciting project, to help grow our impact for this remote community still in recovery. If you are someone who can help, please reach out to us for more information at outbacklinks@frontierservices.org.
Follow us on social media to see the impact of our presence as it’s happening. Hear from people leading the way, like Frontier Services Bushfire Recovery Bush Chaplain Peter Harvey, and the volunteers who are on the ground.
