Welcome Bruce and Mitch
It was a very special and warm welcome to Patrol Ministers Bruce Slater and Mitch Fialkowski yesterday when they were inducted into the Katherine and Murchison Patrols alongside their fellow Patrol Ministers and Frontier Services staff from across the country.
The induction service was held at the Geelong College Chapel, as 200 staff meet for the Frontier Services National Staff Conference this week.
Rev Bruce Slater joins the Frontier Services family as he takes up the role of Katherine Patrol Minister in about a month’s time.
Rev Mitch Fialkowski will be moving from the Katherine Patrol to begin work as the Murchison Patrol Minister based out of Meekatharra in WA.
With all of the Patrol Ministers and staff together in one place, it was a special opportunity to hold the induction service at this time.
Each of the Patrol Ministers took part in the service in some way, while staff who work in the Katherine and Murchison Patrol areas were able to personally welcome and affirm the Ministers as they take up their new positions.
As the induction prayers were read, all the Patrol Ministers gathered around Bruce and Mitch in prayer.
Frontier Services National Director Rosemary Young formally welcomed them into the family as she placed the stolls over their head.
Cobar/Nyngan Patrol Minister Ian Tucker played the pipe organ as the Chapel was filled with song.
