Christmas at Old Timers
With just over a week left until Christmas Day, we decided to ask some of the residents living at Old Timers in Alice Springs about their favourite Christmas memories. They were full of wonderful stories like riding on a sled in the snow down the street, eating rabbit instead of turkey for Christmas dinner because of the war-time rations, waiting six weeks for the mailman who rode a horse to deliver the Christmas parcels and going out fishing and hunting with the family.
We are delighted to share their answers with you in this video clip. We hope it gives you an insight into the beautiful people who live and work at Old Timers and the gift of community they share.
Please share you own Christmas memories with us on Facebook.
