Frontier Services’ Bush Christmas
A fine time was had by all at the when the Frontier Services’ National Office Staff hosted a Bush Christmas luncheon for supporters and friends in the Ferguson Room, St Stephens Church, Sydney. Highlights of the event was an interview with Everald Compton author of the new John Flynn biographical novel “The Man on the Twenty Dollar Notes” and an award for long service to volunteer Isobel Vessey of the Frontier Services NSW Supporter Group.
Congregational Engagement officer, Dan McAloon, read a short testimony about Isobel’s work for Frontier Services. “All organisations that are about “giving back” rely on people like Isobel Vessey, and Frontier Services is no exception,” said Dan.
“The Uniting Church could not function without the service that is offered up by so many women. Let this one woman represent all of them as we extend our thanks to her and recognise her today with this award.
