Reverend Gregor Henderson AM was recognised during the 2015 Australia Day honours, becoming a Member of the Order of Australia. Gregor received the award in the General Division for “significant service to the community through executive and ministerial roles in the Uniting Church in Australia, and through interfaith initiatives.”

Gregor Henderson has been involved in the government and administration of Frontier Services since 1975, and returned to the role of Chair in 2013. Gregor has a deep commitment to Frontier Services, continuing the tradition established by Rev. John Flynn in 1912. Gregor was the National President of the Uniting Church in Australia for three years (2006-2009) and has been a member of the World Council of Churches Central Committee since 1998. He has been heavily involved in the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA) since its establishment in 1994, and has visited many of the Uniting Church’s overseas partner churches in Asia and the Pacific. He is also currently chair of the Board of the John Flynn Foundation.

Frontier Services congratulates Gregor on his prestigious honour.
