Senator Fierravanti-Wells is the Shadow Minister for Ageing and Mental Health. She took time to meet with Juninga Director of Nursing Jenny Messell and Project Manager Kate Higginbotham before taking a first-hand look at how the service operates.

Juninga Centre is a 26-bed aged care service for Indigenous Australians with an additional 10 self-contained cabins on the site. From July 2000, Frontier Services entered a contract with the Gwalwa Daraniki Association to manage the Centre and has continued to maintain a successful partnership.

Each year, Juninga is the focus and venue for a cultural celebration held during NAIDOC week with traditional music, dance and food.
