The Men’s Issue: August Frontier News Out Now
Much as we ‘know’ it, statistics prove that there is a great divide between men living in metropolitan Australia, and those who live in remote and very remote Australia.
The August edition of Frontier News has just been released and we look at ‘Men’s Issues’. We take a snapshot of men’s health, both physically, and mentally in remote Australia, and compare that to men living in the cities.
Frontier Services is there, whether it’s through our community services or our Patrol Ministers, we walk by their side. Take Shane Muldoon, an Alice Springs local living with prostate cancer, and doing something about it.
Jerry Kelly, is another bloke from the North, doing some wonderful things, passing on his skills as a stockman to young men, and women.
Rev Ron Watson, Patrol Minister for Frontier Services in Cape York, tells us all about his ‘fishing ministry’, and while he walks in Jesus’ footsteps, he readily admits that walking on water is beyond him.
We look at the mentorship that 26 year old Ben Garside provides to the students boarding at the Frontier Services Student Group Home in Atherton, Queensland. We celebrate with two Indigenous Pastor’s commissioning and Patrol Minister Rev Peter Wait from the Tennant Barkly Patrol in the Territory provides this edition’s reflection.
September we celebrate the Great Outback BBQ, and we asked two ‘meaty blokes’ for their advice on the perfect steak and barbie. We also have Christmas Cards on sale. Get your copy of The Men’s Issue of Frontier News today.
