Meet Chris and Ros our Outback Links volunteers

Meet Chris and Ros, our Outback Links volunteers who through their volunteering have built life-long friendships and connections in the bush.

“There’s always something you can do to help. It doesn’t require knowing how to brand a cow,” says Chris and Ros.

Four years ago, a Google search led Chris and Ros to embark on a journey of friendship, adventure, and hard work in the Australian bush. Retired education workers, sought a way to give back and found it in Outback Links volunteering.

A Journey of Service

Their volunteer trips involve a range of tasks, from property maintenance to providing company. They’ve cared for stations, cleaned cattle troughs, and offered support in various forms. Chris and Ros have forged lasting friendships and connections in the bush, finding fulfillment in the bonds they’ve formed.

Anyone Can Help

To be a volunteer, it doesn’t require specific skills; it’s about offering what you already have. Chris and Ros emphasize that there’s always something you can contribute, and the value of companionship cannot be overstated. Interested in making a difference?
